Addiction and Spirituality: June 19 at La Longeraie in Morges

Julie Marcombes is our guest this evening.

A certified therapist (JM-therapies), Julie will discuss addiction in a conference she will lead on Tuesday, June 19, at La Longeraie in Morges, alongside Jacques Besson, professor at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne. An addiction specialist and head of the Community Psychiatry Department at CHUV, Jacques Besson has spent over thirty years studying the relationships between psychoanalysis and religion, and between neuroscience and spirituality.

What do we know about addiction ?

What do we know about the relationship between addiction and spirituality in the age of neuroscience ?

"We live in an addictive society, obsessed with quantity, pushing us toward distraction—meaningless in essence. In a disenchanted world, public communities may seem devoid of meaning, and individuals are left in great solitude. Everyone is connected, yet no one listens," notes Julie. These are just some of the questions that will be addressed during this open conference, welcoming everyone—youth, retirees, and families—to foster dialogue around addictions that are difficult to overcome alone.
